All Things Bright and Beautiful…

Summer time means bright nails, which makes me very, very happy!

Even a simple paint job can lift my mood, so when I found myself magically at the Rimmel stand in Superdrug I was forced to buy two new polishes…

415 – Instyle Coral
This is the perfect shade for those who want to try a more muted neon kind of colour. It’s lovely and bright, and looks great if you’ve got a hint of a suntan going on.

612 – Mary Mary Quite Contrary I’ve wanted to try a bold white for a while now, but I didn’t want it to look like I’d painted my nails with tipex so this off-white with a hint of lilac seemed like a perfect shade. It’s so understands and pretty that I’m sure it’s going to be my new favourite. I think it would look nice with glitter polish on each ring finger.

Both are from the 60 Second range and are £2.99. There are so many colours to choose from and they’re brilliant quality for the price.

The time has come to pick a winner!

Holiday Essentials – Hair, Body and Skin

I’m officially on the holiday countdown now…this time on Monday I’ll be jetting off on my jollies!

I thought I’d share my holiday beauty packing with you, mostly in the hope that it means I don’t forget anything, but also because I enjoy reading these types of posts myself.

So to start with I’m taking two cosmetic bags with me. The first being the bigger version of my make up bag from my last ‘Make Up Shake Up’ post.

Here tis’ in all it’s spotted glory…

And that’s pretty much it, I like to think I pack lightly, but seeing it spread out has made me re-think that statement. I think I’ll be sneaking one of the bags into The Boys suitcase!

I’d love to know what you usually take, or anything I maybe have missed out!

Watch this space for my a holiday make up and hand luggage bag post!

Bold and The Body-Con

I’ve avoided body-cons for some time now, due to having some rather unsightly cake porch hangover and lumpy bumpy bits. However I made the wise investment in some attractive ‘suck in every last bit of chub’ underwear so I’m a bit more confident now.

I love the different styles, cuts and most importantly colours of body-cons. There are so many on the high street at the moment that it’s made my favourites hard to pick. They’re so easy to dress up with heels and a clutch, or go more casual with flats and oversized sunnies that it’s pretty much been unavoidable to buy at least one (or three!)…

I’d love to see anything you’ve been buying, so leave the links in the comments below.

Don’t forget….NYX Cosmetics Giveaway!

How’s everyone holding up in this heat? I’m happy as long as I’m outside in the sun, what makes me unhappy though is when I’m stuck in a stuffy office like today!

To lift the mood I’m just popping on a quick reminder about my NYXCosmetics giveaway!

…after all that hard work I suggest you grab an a cold drink (or an ice cream!!) and take a 15 minute break outside, go on!!!

Festival Essentials

If you’re headed out to a festival this year then it’s best to go prepared! I went to Wireless yesterday (I renewed my love with JT whilst there 💗…but that’s a whole different matter!’) and I went in full essentials mode, to which The Boy laughed at, at first…then as the day wore on and everything got a bit grubbier my festival packing seemed less silly!

Here are my top picks…

Remember wherever you’re going in this heat, this year, don’t forget the SPF and plenty of water!!

Have fun!
