There’s nothing better than looking down at your fingers and toes, and seeing the shiny surface winking back at you.
Painting, or even better, having them painted by someone else, is one of my favourite things to do when I feel like I need a bit of a pick me up. Which would probably explain the sheer volume of nail polish bottles I own, and why I’m constantly adding to my collection.
I have a few favourite brands, mainly Rimmel, Barry M and China Glaze – but I’m always on the look out for new ones, so please feel free to fuel my addiction, and tell me your go-to’s.
I’ll start off with my Rimmel polishes…I really love the 60 Second range, however the last few I’ve bought have been a little bit gloopy, so I’ve mixed a teeny bit of nail polish remover in, given them a good shake, and popped them in the fridge for a while…
L-R: 1. Mary Mary Quite Contrary, 2. Caramel Cupcake, 3. Rose Libertine, 4. InStyle Coral, 5. Coralicious, 6. Ring a Ring O’Roses, 7. Strawberry Fizz, 8. District-ly Come Dancing, 9.Too Cool Too Tango
My absolute favourite brand at the moment is Barry M, however I seem to be missing a fair few from my collection, which I could safely bet are floating around my sister’s bedroom…
L-R 1. Top Coat, 2. Berry Ice Cream, 3. Strawberry Ice Cream, 4. Cuppucino, 5. Bright Red.
I’m not hugely impressed with Nails Inc polish, I bought these when they had their Lucky Dip offer on (6 for £15 i think?) and I wouldn’t necessarily repurchase in a hurry, The application is lovely, however I find they chip really easily which has put me off a bit.
L-R 1. Chester Terrace, 2. Buckingham Street, 3. Hampton Court, 4. Farringdon Crackle Top Coat, 5. Chelsea, 6. Park Crescent
The majority of my collection, is made up from my China Glaze polishes…
ABOVE L-R: 1. Exceptionally Gifted, 2. Something Sweet, 3. Temptation Carnation, 4. Sugar High, 5. Rich and Famous, 6. Pink Voltage.
ABOVE L-R: 1. Hawaiian Punch, 2. Rose Amoung Thorns, 3. Firth Avenue, 4. Seduce Me, 5. Coral Star
ABOVE L-R: 1. Spontaneous, 2. Reggae to Riches, 3. Tantalize Me, 4. Urban-Night, 5. Sex In The City
ABOVE L-R: 1. Street Chic, 2. Hook and Line, 3. Dress Me Up, 4. Swing Baby, 5. Fast Forward Top Coat
ABOVE: 1. Prism, 2. Full Spectrum
And lastly, to finish up – the odd and sods…
L-R: 1. Kleancolor Sheer Peach, 2. Kleencolor Coffee, 3. Revlon Sequins, 4. Revlon Iced Mauve, 5. Topshop Treasure, 6. Ciate Cabaret, 7. Bon Bon
I also have a 6 for £16 voucher for Models Own polish…so I’ll be adding to the mass this weekend! I just can’t say no….
